The Badin Shores Public Water System is reminding residents to avoid pouring cooking grease down the drain ahead of time.
Many Homeowners and Guests tend to improperly dispose of the grease. This causes a clog in sewer lines, leading to a major sewage backup and potentially serious damage to your home.
So how can you safely get rid of that unwanted grease? SAWS says you can scrape grease solids directly into a lined trash can, pour cooled liquid grease into a sealable container and wipe the remaining grease and debris with a paper towel. You can then throw all three of those in your rash bag.

BSR is working to make BSR better each and every day. One of the ways we are doing that is by fixing up our current buildings. The Finance Committee and the Board of Directors, in 2022 approved some much needed repairs in the resort and that list was mailed out to the homeowners. On that list was; Clubhouse-Air conditioner, bathrooms remodeled, walls, floor and ceiling tile. Bathhouse – Walls, Floor, Ceiling tiles and hot water heaters. Good evening Badin Shores Resort Homeowners;
I have exciting news. We have completed the election ballots with the help of volunteers on the election committee. The election committee is mailing those ballots out as we speak, this year, we have included a self stamped envelope. Please take your time and pick your three board members and mail your votes back to us.
The reason we have sent you a self stamped envelope is to see what type of participation we will have in this election. The Board of Directors is working diligently to complete the Badin Shores Resort Owners Association, Inc. declaration of covenants and bylaws, and once those are completed, we will need to have a vote. We must have 67% participation for the decoration of covenants and bylaws in order for them to move forward.
So, Please, vote and return with your prepaid envelope.
